Chapel Hill Sunday, 26 June 2011, at 3pm go to top

Chapel Hill Sunday is 26 June 2011 at 3pm.

The meeting at the Burial Ground begins at 3 p.m. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier. After the meeting, we walk over the hills (about 45 minutes) to our Meeting House in Crawshawbooth, where we will take refreshments ( Jacob's Join tea ).

People will then be ferried back from the Meeting House to their own cars.

Parking arrangements: Please do not try to drive up to Chapel Hill. The track is narrow, it is impossible to turn if a tractor is coming in the opposite direction (the tractor always wins when it comes to push and shove, especially against Friends, who do not push and shove), and there is no parking space near the Burial Ground (except underground, for Friends who have come to grief).

Please leave your car in the car park, next to the Rawtenstall Market in Newchurch Road (marked on the handdrawn map). Then walk the 15 minutes or so (depending on your fitness) to the Burial Ground, which is an uplifting experience in itself, especially if we are blessed by a life-giving downpour. But it is equally inspiring when the sun is out.

If you then walk with us to the Meeting House, some of our Friends will ferry you back in their own cars to yours after you have had refreshments.

Looking forward to 2011
