Opus est me discere diligenter et multa. Sed studeo libenter.

 

This is my school. It is called 'Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School'. It is necessary for me to learn diligently and to learn a lot. But I like studying.
Das ist meine Schule. Sie heißt 'Humanistisches Gymnasium Königin-Elisabeth'. Ich muß fleißig und viel lernen. Aber Lernen macht mir Spaß.

Sententia scholae

Sententia scholae 'DISCE PRODESSE' dicit, quod est interpretata 'Debeo studiare non solo mihi sed etiam per adiuvare aliis'.

Discipulus illius scholae esse mihi honor magnus est.

 

The motto of my school is 'Learn to be useful', which means: 'I must study not only for myself but also in order to help others.' It is a great honour for me to be a pupil at this school.

Das Motto meiner Schule ist 'Lerne zu nützen', was bedeutet: 'Ich muß nicht nur zu meinem eigenen Nutzen lernen, sondern auch, um Anderen zu helfen.'

Discere linguam Latinam mihi multum placet. Non puto dictum 'Latinam ad Latrinam' bonum esse. Cognoscere linguam Latinam mihi adiuverit discere alias linguas, exempli gratia linguam francescam et linguam hispaniolam.

Disciplina plurimum amata mea ludi corporis sunt. Amo magnopere pila pedis ludere.

I like learning Latin very much. I do not think the saying 'Throw Latin down the lavatory' is a good one. To know Latin will help me to learn other languages, e.g. French and Spanish. My favourite subject is sport. I love playing football very much.
Ich lerne sehr gern Latein. Ich halte den Ausspruch 'Schmeißt das Latein in die Toilette' nicht für gut. Lateinkenntnisse werden mir helfen, andere Sprachen zu lernen, z.B. Französisch und Spanisch. Mit Lieblingsfach ist Sport. Ich spiele sehr gerne Fußball.
