*29* Anna Maria Elsabein Wegmann Short description Anna Maria Hilgemann, "née Anna Maria Elsabein Wegmann" born 3 March 1784 in Lengerich (Cologne/Köln area), religion not given but her place of birth was in a Roman Catholic part of Germany (is this another mixed marriage in the "Bung family"?), and died 24 April 1851 in Lienen (near Osnabrück), aged 66 Parents: not given She married Jürgen Heinrich Hilgemann, 1788-1847; marriage: date no known. Not attested. There is some confusion about the names Elsabein and Wegmann in the certificates. Both Elsabein and Wegmann are surnames. Was Anna Maria Hilgemann a born Elsebein, then married Wegmann, then married Hilgemann. This still has to be sorted out. Here is some peripheral information from www.familysearch.org, not all necessarily relevant, but it may be helpful to future family researchers in making conjectures. Note that there is a link with "Wegmann" in one of the entries; "Abt." usually means "Abteilung" = department, division. The meaning of that entry is not quite clear. See original document. Margreta ELSABEIN, Sex: F, 24 Feb 1762, Evangelisch,
Bockhorst, Westfalen, Preussen Klaus Bung begins to feel that Elsabein and Elsaben are Christian names rather than surnames. But that still does not quite explain the problems. Look also at the original documents such as they are: ahnenpass (click here)
There is some confusion about her name and identity. Speculative remarks about her can be found where she occurs as mother or wife. For such information see the following articles: *14* Heinrich Ernst Jakob Hilgemann *24* Conradt Hantelmann *28* Jörgen Heinrich Hilgemann (variant: Jürgen) Links
