Hubertus Klaus Agobard Bung (1935-x) Short description Hubertus Klaus Agobard Bung, born 3 Nov 1935 in Berlin-Lankwitz, Roman Catholic Occupation: linguist, writer Father: Hubertus Bung, 1908-1981 Mother: Erika Felicitas Bung, née Faßbender, 1911-1994 Klaus Bung married Gloria Antoinette Thomasos, Roman Catholic, on 19 March 1960 at St Joseph's Church, Highgate, London, was separated soon after, formally divorced in 1966 (High Court, The Strand, London; Decree Nisi No 103, dated 10 February 1966). This Klaus Bung compiled and typed the data researched by his father Hubertus Bung (1908-1981) translated and annotated the texts into English and wrote the little English essays about his siblings, parents, grandparents and himself etc. English was chosen to make this information available to his own daughter and grandchildren who do not speak German and because most people of his generation and later are likely to speak English. He designed and created this website in close collaboration with his friend Salma Ahmed (5 July 1980-...). She has three birthdays: her real birthday of which nobody his quite sure, but it was at the beginning of the monsoon in Arand near Jaunpur, two days after the neighbour's cow gave birth to that extraordinarily big calf (it may have been 1 October 1979); secondly the birthday entered in her mother's new passport (the one on which she was imported into England at the age of 14 or so): 1 October 1979; thirdly the birthday entered in her mother's old passport (the one on which she was carried into England at the age of 8 or so): 5 July 1981, and which has now found its way into her Indian passport, issued in London when she was 22 (or whatever). This is a story which is recorded here for the benefit of Klaus Bung's descendants, who should forever be grateful to her. Links Klaus Bung outline of a misspent life
